Little Helper

If any of you are looking for something exciting to do, I have a suggestion. Trying cleaning a bathroom with a 2 year old around. If you don't have one, I could lend you mine.

Today I have the morning off. I am home trying to clean here and there and I have a little one following my every move. One of the things on my list is to get to the bathrooms, so I head on in, armed with all kinds of different cleaners. Avery decides to check out the action, so she follows me in. At first she stays back watching. Then she decides that she can help. She gets a hold of one of the cleaners and sprays me. Luckily, for both me and her, it was just the vinegar water.

Then she finds the toilet bowl brush. Enough said. Yuck!

Then she stands there yelling "Yuck!" or "Mess!" pointing out different things that I need to clean.

Finally while I am on my knees washing the floors, she decides that I am a horsey that she can ride.

Like I said, definitely a fun time. I really recommend it.

old works finally finished...

Today I have had a chance to finish playing. I say finish because these have been sitting on my desk awaiting their journaling for a while now. I needed to get them done and finally did it.
Yeah!

just a quick note for today...

I have been wanting to make a blueberry pie since I came home from Jackson in July. Having made one there and having really enjoyed it, I wanted to make another. Well finally this weekend I took the plunge and made the pie. I thought I had made it exactly the same as I had in Jackson... half fresh blueberries and half pie filling. Apparently it wasn't the same.

My son has been working on his diplomacy recently. On Sunday my neighbor was helping me out and watching my children for me. She wanted Dillon to show her some of his things on the Wii and even teach her a little. So he started her off on Wii sports... bowling to be exact. She could tell pretty quickly that this was not his favorite thing to play and began to ask him about Mario Kart, knowing that he played that quite often. Using gentle wording, he explained to her that she would be better off playing bowling and working up to Mario Kart. Diplomacy.

Nice to know that I have taught him to regard others feelings!

Then he used it on me.

Back to the pie. After baking this long awaited pie and allowing some time for it to cool, I cut a slice for myself. Seeing me sitting there with desert in my hand, he approaches and asks what I have.

Blueberry pie. Hmmm. Can I have a bite? Sure....

"Not your best effort Mom" and walks away.

Sad thing is, I had to agree with him.
