Bailey carefully sculpted her brain model out of chocolate chip cookie dough. Then it was baked and flattened. Darn it! Not what she had in mind, but it worked fine. Her science teacher gave her a good enough grade. =)

Halloween 2010
Dillon had a hockey tournament in Aspen this past weekend. We were there Friday and got home early afternoon yesterday, just in time to carve pumpkins and enjoy trick or treating at home.
B was a sailor girl and A was a flapper. She didn't know what a flapper was, but she didn't care. It was a pink dress that shook when she twirled.
(they were nice enough to share their booty with D)
As for D's hockey weekend, the team was amazing! They showed so much improvement and really played well together. They had 4 games- winning 2 and losing 2. On Saturday morning, they played a team called Boulder Navy. D was in net and faced something like 32 shots, saving all but three. They lost 3-0.
Sunday morning, they are in the semi-final game and it just so happens that they are facing the same team. Unbeknownst to the other team, Kevin had had the team watch their game Saturday afternoon in order to see what they did well and where they needed work. When we played again, it showed! The score at the end of regulation was tied 4-4. It was an amazing game that was now heading into sudden death overtime! 5 minutes later the score was the same. Now they had to go into a shoot out. Each team had 5 players take a shot on the other team's goalie. It was so exciting, but I was crying with worried for D. We scored once, but they scored twice. In all, D saw over 40 shots in that game, while the other goalie saw maybe 24.
Although we lost, it felt like a win. It was a great battle.

Singing in church
Both girls sang in church today, but I didn't have my camera during the 1st service. So here is Avery singing "This Little Light of Mine."

D and B go to camp
They were dropped off this afternoon for 6 days of fun in the woods. This is a camp that is connected to my church and so luckily for both of them, they already knew someone. Bailey was excited, but D was apprehensive on the way. Once we were there though, there were no worries, no tears, and they were off and running.
Have fun you two!

The monkey meets gymnastics...
Last Friday Avery had her first taste of gymnastics. She's hooked.
Just look at that happy face!
As she left today, her second lesson, she asked "when do I come to my next 'nastics, Mom?"
