Happy Day!

The Science Fair results are in and...

Dillon takes second in fourth grade.

Bailey takes first in first grade.

(She did not receive her metal before the assembly and therefore was sad when she saw everyone else's. She would not go up and stand with the other winners.)

another fun filled posting...

(Read this with complete deadpan voice)

It is a great day to be a teacher.

While I was teaching today, someone blessed my car with a personal imprint.
Three sides of my car, actually.

Key markings that were quite intentional.

and the beginning of a letter "f".

So nice.

a warning for my Denver based friends...

After 11 years of not getting a speeding ticket I get one yesterday. 11 years!!! And for going 35. Not 35 mph over the speed limit. Just 35 mph, only in a school zone. And not just a warning type ticket, a $230- $280 ticket. I know that Denver is looking for ways to pay off budget shortfalls but really. So here is your warning friends.

Stop at stop lights.

Fully stop at stop signs.

And finally, slow down in school zones.

Here ends your public service announcement for today.
Donations are greatfully accepted.

quandry...

I have done it to myself once again. Really! When am I going to learn?

No, this little maltzu (maltese/shih tzu) guy is not ours.... yet.

This is my thinking... When we do not have a pet for the most part it's great. No extra clean up, no worries when we take off for a day or a week, no extra costs, but...

for some reason I feel like I am missing something. Something small. Something fluffy.

I know, I know... small dog??? But it seems easier for some reason. This breed is a very low shed dog. Not a yipper or barker like some little dogs. Great with families. Great with kids. No breaking out of the yard and hurting themselves issues. And this one is male and a puppy, so no surprise litters to care for.

A puppy means training, but then the training is all me so the dog that I get is the dog I create. Then again, it's all me....

Only a few weeks left before all my classes are done and then I have the summer home (less my vacation time at the beach of course).

But the fall brings on student teaching.

HELP!!! Please give me some honest feedback!
