Tough love

Another fun thing about parenting. Crying it out.

Okay, since Avery was sick last week, we got into some pretty bad habits. Waking up and nursing every hour and a half one night. Two and half hours the next night, and then back to every 3 hours. At 7 1/2 months old this child should be sleeping through the night. So it was definately time for some tough love.

Usually this is very difficult to do, but the first night, I was unusally cranky which made it easier. Kinda paybackish. The child cried for over an hour! 12:30 AM to 1:45ish. But then she slept for 5 straight hours.

Last night, another dose. This time it was only 40 minutes. Then she slept 4 hours.

We are thinking tonight, 20 minutes? But then she better not be up in 3 hours, or another dose will be handed out.

We have some very stubborn children. But my mother in law tells me to "get them before they get you!"
