First words?

So the other day Kevin tells me that Avery said "all done" when she finished her dinner. Hum....I thought...really? Usually a child says "Da Da" or "Ma Ma" first. So I just say "okay, honey."

We had been teaching her our version of "all done" in sign language. Shaking both hands. Well today at lunch, I tried to get her to say it. She looked at me and laughed. Pulled on her hair. Put her hands in her mouth. But no "all done" in words or hands.

Then I go to change her pants. She really didn't want to be there anymore. She rarely sits still. (I know this sounds familiar, kinda like my other two kids.) So she looks up at me and says "A DA" and I say "all done?" She says "a da" like "duh mom, that's what I said."

Okay. Well I guess she has her first words.
