Water World- July 7, 2006
A first grader named Dillon Whalen entered Water World today with tickets that he had won from a radio contest. KYGO holds an annual call in at the end of each school year. The caller is to give an oral report on any subject that they have learned about in the past school year. Dillon decided to report on the Lewis and Clark Expedition. He astounded the morning radio crew of Kelly, Jonathan, and Mudflap with his in depth reporting on the subject. The teacher that volunteers to “grade” each report was astounded as well, responding that she could not believe that a 1st grader would have learned so much. Needless to say, Dillon earned an A on his report, Water World tickets for his family, and much credos at his elementary school for his performance. Dillon responded by asking when he could call in another report.
