Some of you know that I do support the new lightbulbs that are more energy effient. But there was a downside, I always liked to warn people letting them know that although they save more energy, they contain mercury and therefore you can not just throw them away. A lot of people do not know this!
This news article came out today... a better way to recycle the bulbs. It will be a pain to drive over there, but at least I have an Ace near my house.

hmmmmm...wonder if Wade knows...I'm sure he does. He's the light-man in the house. We've not had to dispose of any of the new lights as of yet. I'll have to discuss it with him. :-)
yep I found out about that recently, and have had some break in the drawer last year. threw them away without a second thought. here I am with a hundred medical problems, which I've wondered might be caused by years of darkroom chemicals and silver fillings. they really need to mark the bulbs or the packaging better.
Lowes and Home Depot also take them back.
i was just going to suggest lowes and home depot too. although i'd like to see if they really do....i'm weird that way, some say they do but really don't, does that make sense? WELL, they better! we are about to put in some new lights in the studio/office at the new house and i want to make sure that i'm doing my part too.
