update...

They are all safely here now. Brownie came while I was blogging last time... you can barely see her under Abby's leg here and in the second picture, you can see her better.

So we have 2 girls and 2 boys. Max is the yellow one. Bailey named him yesterday when she decided that she was keeping a boy dog.(she is not!) I named Brownie, because, well she's brown. And the other 2 are yet to be named. Dillon wanted to name one Killer, but I vetoed it.

Bob- to answer your question, Abby did most of the cleaning. I helped a little, more with Max because he was the first and we were both new to this birthing puppies thing. Here is a picture of Max right after he was born.

That is so incredible. I am jealous except for the 4 in the morning part...

suggested names:
Hank
Edward
Charlie
and I like Max. Hopefully Max will live up his name and be King of The Wild Things.

Good for you for taking photos! We always forgot when I was a kid, until the puppies were all latched on and we went, "no photos! again! doh!"

(Okay, we didn't really say "doh" because it was pre-Simpsons, but you get the idea.)

Hope to see Abby and the babies this afternoon. Sophie's counting on it!

Okay- the scissors are freaking quite a few people out. I had to only cut one cord, and that was Max's the pup in the picture. No scrapbooking was being done. I was was too tired and it was way too messy.
We will never know for sure what they are besides lab mix. All their coloring refers back to labs. I took them to the vet this morning, and they all checked out just fine.
